The whole system is calibrated for that exact total cable length. Using a different length will make the vibration readings wrong.

You do not need to add a separate extension cable. This makes the connection simpler and more reliable over a long distance from the machine.
Can I use this probe in an area with explosive gas or dust?
No. This model (with option “00”) is not certified for hazardous areas. It is for use in normal factory areas only.
How should I handle the long, armored cable during installation?
Do not bend it too sharply. Support it in cable trays. Make sure the metal armor is connected to ground for safety.
