Expert FAQ & Selection Guide
Technical Specifications
- What is the “armor” on this probe model?
- The armor is a thicker, reinforced stainless steel case. It protects the probe from impact and stress in rough installations.
- How do I know if my area needs an “ia” or “nA” rated probe?
- Your plant’s safety document (HAZOP) will specify the zone. “ia” is for the most hazardous Zone 0. “nA” is for less hazardous Zone 2. Always consult a safety engineer.
Installation & Usage Advice
- Why is there a maximum thread engagement of 15 mm?
- This ensures the probe’s sealing O-ring sits correctly. Engaging more than 15mm may prevent a proper seal, allowing oil ingress.
- Can I use this probe outdoors in all weather?
- Yes. Its materials and seal resist humidity and wide temperatures. For constant saltwater spray, discuss your application with us first.
