- What does fail freeze mean on this positioner? When electrical power fails, the actuator locks in its last position. Air does not vent. This is different from fail open or fail close.
- Can I use this positioner with a double acting actuator? Yes. The output works for both single and double acting. Configure the setting during setup.
- What is the minimum current to start the device? 3.8 mA. The unit wakes up at this level. Below that, the positioner will not operate.
- Do I need explosion protection for my plant? This model has no explosion protection (option 0). For hazardous areas, order V18345 with a different position in the code.
