Functional Description

The IS200TDBTH6ACD works as a TMR contact input and output terminal board. It accepts wetting voltage from an external source. Use 24, 48, or 125 V dc for the 24 group-isolated contact inputs.

Noise protection guards against surges and high-frequency noise. The board offers 12 Form-C relay outputs. You can add an option card to increase relay functions.

The PDIO I/O pack connects to this board. Three I/O packs link to D-type connectors. They talk to controllers via Ethernet. Each PDIO connects to a TMR controller with one network link.

Important: A single PDIO I/O pack cannot run this TDBT board correctly.

Installation Guide

The board comes on a sheet metal carrier with a plastic insulator. Mount it on a DIN rail. Or attach it inside a cabinet.

Wiring tips:

  • Use 18 AWG wires for connections

  • Connect to two sets of 48 terminal blocks

  • TB2 (lower set) = input contact circuits

  • TB1 (upper set) = relay section

  • Use a separate bracket for end shields

No hardware jumpers are needed. All setup is done through software.

Relay Outputs Details

The board has 12 relay channels. You can plug an option board into JW1 and JW2 connectors. The option board adds more relay functions.

How jumpers work on the option board:

  • Six jumpers are on the WROBH1 option board

  • All six jumpers come assembled from the factory

  • Remove a jumper when the relay uses dry contacts

  • Keep the jumper when power distribution is needed

External power wires connect to a connector on the option board.

Operation Information

The onboard signal conditioning works just like the STCI board. It scales for 24, 48, and 125 V dc wetting voltage.

Input wetting voltage ranges:

  • 16 to 32 V dc (for 24V nominal)

  • 32 to 64 V dc (for 48V nominal)

  • 100 to 145 V dc (for 125V nominal)

The wetting voltage is half of the threshold voltage.

Current limits:

  • First 21 circuits: 2.5 mA (resistance limited)

  • Circuits 22 to 24: 10 mA (resistance limited)

  • 24V dc supply on TDBTH2: limited to 0.5 A using resettable fuses

The board uses polymer positive temperature coefficient fuses for protection.

Hardware Features at a Glance

What you will see on the board:

  • Twelve large black potentiometers (variable resistors)

  • Arranged in three horizontal rows of four each

  • One long grey rectangular component

  • Several rows of very small components

  • Two long rows of round red MOVs (metal oxide varistors) on the left side

  • One small white connector with three ports

  • Several small integrated circuits

  • One small yellow capacitor

  • Two small yellow resistors with one black stripe in the middle

Compatibility Information

  • Works with Mark VIe systems

  • Compatible with PDIO I/O pack

  • Use with Versamax for expanded I/O needs

  • Three PDIO connection points available:

    • JR1 connects to R controller

    • JS1 connects to S controller

    • JT1 connects to both R and S controllers

  • Each PDIO gets one network connection to its controller

FAQ – Professional Questions and Answers

Q1: Can I use this IS200TDBTH6ACD board with one PDIO I/O pack only?

A: No. A single PDIO I/O pack cannot properly operate this TDBT board. You need three PDIO packs for full TMR function.

Q2: What happens if my room temperature goes above 65°C?

A: The board may fail or have shorter life. Keep operating temperature between -30°C and +65°C. Install cooling fans if needed.

Q3: How do I know if I need to remove the jumper on the option board?

A: Remove the jumper only when the relay has dry contacts and no power distribution is needed. Keep all six jumpers on for normal use.

Q4: What is conformal coating and why does this board have it?

A: Conformal coating is a thin chemical layer on the entire board. It protects against dust, moisture, and chemicals. This makes the board last longer in harsh industrial sites.

Q5: Which shipping method should I pick for a broken unit at a power plant?

A: Pick DHL or FedEx Express for urgent repairs. Standard shipping takes longer. Express delivery gets you a replacement or repair faster.

Selection Guide – How to Pick the Right Terminal Board

First, count how many inputs you need.

  • Need 24 inputs? Choose IS200TDBTH6ACD.

  • Need fewer inputs? Look at smaller TDBT models.

Then, check your wetting voltage.

  • Works with 24, 48, or 125 V dc external sources.

  • Match your site voltage to these options.

Always plan for redundancy.

  • Use three PDIO packs for TMR safety.

  • This board supports TMR, not just simplex.

Next, decide if you need more relays.

  • The base board gives 12 Form-C relays.

  • Add an option card for more relay functions.

Finally, pick your shipping speed.

  • FedEx, UPS, DHL all available.

  • Express for critical repairs. Standard for stock orders.

Pro tip: Order a spare board if your process cannot stop. Keep one on the shelf. Repair takes 3-7 days. New stock is ready to ship.
