Installation Guide
Installation is simple. Insert the module directly into any available slot of a compatible ControlLogix chassis (e.g., 1756-A4, A7, A10, A13, A17). The module gets power from the chassis backplane. You can install multiple controllers in the same chassis; they can communicate with each other and operate independently.
Compatibility Notes
This module works with:
- Chassis: ControlLogix 1756-A* series.
- Memory Modules: For non-volatile memory, use only 1756-M1, 1756-M2, or 1756-M3.
- Battery: Use only the recommended 1756-BA1 lithium battery for replacement.
- Programming Cables: 1756-CP3 or 1747-CP3 Category 3 serial cables.
- Software: Configured using RSLinx Classic/Enterprise.
