Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Can I use this 1.0m probe with a 9m Proximitor sensor? A: No. Use only with 5m Proximitor sensor.
Q: Is this probe pressure tested before shipment?
A: No. Contact our custom design department if you require pressure seal testing.
Q: What is the maximum field wiring length?
A: 305 meters (1000 feet) between Proximitor and monitor. Longer runs reduce high-frequency response.
Q: What happens if temperature drops below -34°C?
A: The pressure seal may fail early. Keep the probe above -34°C for seal life.
Experience-Based Q&A
Q: We get noisy signals on a high-speed fan. Could cable routing be the issue? A: Yes. Separate probe cables from power cables. Use shielded triad wiring and ground the shield properly.
Q: Can I extend the probe cable itself?
A: No. Use only the original 1.0m cable. Extend only via Proximitor sensor field wiring.
Selection Guide
- Choose 330102-00-13-10-02-00 for 1.0m armored probe with 0.3 inch unthreaded length and 1.3 inch case
- Select unthreaded length = 00 (0.3 in) for partial thread engagement
- Pick case length = 13 (1.3 in) for compact mounting spaces
- Use connector code 02 for reliable ClickLoc miniature coaxial connection
- For high-temperature tips above +177°C, order extended range version
- Choose agency approval code 00 if not required for your zone
- Verify thread engagement (max 0.563 in) to avoid mechanical damage
