FAQ – Common Questions & Buying Guide
- What is a reverse mount probe?
It mounts from the opposite side of the target. This saves space in crowded machines. - Can I use this probe in Zone 0 hazardous area?
Yes, with intrinsic safety barriers per drawing 141092. Approved for Class I Zone 0. - What thread size does this model use?
3/8-24 UNF. Check your machine port before buying. - Why is DC resistance 8.5 ± 1.1 ohms?
This matches 9m cable length. Different lengths give different resistance values. - Experience: My reverse mount probe shows noisy signal. Why?
Check connector torque. Finger tight only. Over-tightening damages the contact. - Experience: Can I extend the 9m cable further?
Yes, use Bently Nevada 75 Ω triaxial extension cables. Keep total length within proximitor spec. - Buying Guide – Which thread option to choose?
Option 02-18 gives 3/8-24 UNF. Choose this if your machine has UNF ports. - Buying Guide – Do I need agency approval option 00?
Option 00 means no approval. Pick this for non-hazardous or safe area use only. - Buying Guide – Total length 90 vs 50 vs 10.
90 = 9 meters for long runs from driver to monitor. Shorter lengths save cost for close mounts. - What is the minimum bend radius?
25.4 mm (1.0 inch). Never bend tighter than this.
