What does “with armor” mean for this probe?
It has a stainless steel braid over the cable. This armor provides extra protection against cuts, abrasion, and crushing in tough plant environments.
Why is the probe resistance lower (5.9Ω) than other models?
The resistance is lower because the cable is much longer (7 meters). The longer internal cable adds less resistance per meter compared to the probe coil itself.
What is the main advantage of the 30mm case length?
Extremely short length. It allows installation in places where there is almost no space behind the mounting surface. Common in compact machinery.
How do I handle the 7-meter cable during installation?
Carefully coil the excess cable. Use gentle loops with a radius greater than 1 inch (25.4mm). Secure it with cable ties away from heat and moving parts.
From experience, what is the #1 mistake with armored probes?
Overtightening. Because the probe is short and armored, people use tools. Remember: maximum torque is only 5 in•lb. Use a small torque wrench or just hand-tighten. Overtightening cracks the PPS tip.
