Product Introduction
The F3237 is an 8-fold input module for safety applications. It connects safety related proximity switches and resistor-wired sensors. This module supports NAMUR switches per DIN 19234. It monitors lines for short-circuit and wire break. The module meets requirement class AK 1 to 6. Automatic self-test runs during operation. LEDs are not tested, but all core functions are verified. The corresponding software block is HB-RTE-. Check the OS description for the latest version.

Compatibility Note
- Some sensors do not follow DIN 19234, e.g., NJ 5 – 30GK – S1N from P&F.
- This sensor gives very low current in non-damped state.
- Low current affects line break supervision.
- Solution: Add a 47 kOhm resistor in parallel to boost output to 170 µA.
- Resistor failure acts like a line break.
- Real line break detection still works normally.
- No limits for fail-safe circuit use.
