HIMA F60CPU03 is the main brain of the HIMatrix F60 controller. This CPU module handles all central tasks for your safety system.
It stores the operating system and your user program. Also, it manages communication with PADT and other systems. The module monitors both voltage and temperature automatically.
Install it only in the right slot next to the power supply module. This compact unit weighs just 280 g and fits in 6 RU, 4 HP space.

Professional FAQ
1. Can I use this CPU with other HIMatrix models?
No. The F60CPU03 works only with the HIMatrix F60 subrack. It will not fit in other HIMatrix series like F30 or F35.
2. What happens if the gold capacitor fails?
The date and time buffer will stop working. However, the CPU continues normal safety functions. Replace the module to restore time buffering.
3. How do I choose between safeethernet and PROFIsafe?
Use safeethernet when connecting to other HIMA systems. Use PROFIsafe when working with Siemens or third-party PROFIsafe devices. Both work well for SIL 3 applications.
4. Is this module hot-swappable?
No. You must power down the entire subrack before removing or inserting this CPU. Hot swapping can damage the module or backplane.
5. What is the real-world response time I can expect?
The datasheet says 6 ms minimum. In practice, with complex user programs and many I/O points, expect 10 to 15 ms. Test your specific configuration for accurate timing.
