FAQ

  • Why does the device need > 30 min warm-up? Internal temperature must stabilize for rated accuracy.
  • Can I use it without reflector foil? No. Max range requires the foil. Short range may work on reflective surfaces.
  • What happens below 0°C without heater? Accuracy may drift. Use the heater option for cold areas.
  • How do I reset a connection timeout? Reconnect all EtherNet/IP connections or power cycle the device.
  • What does 1 ppm/°C temperature drift mean? Each 1°C change shifts reading by 0.0001% of range. Very stable.
  • Can I change the output rate? Fixed at 1000 Hz. Integration time is 1 ms.
  • My laser shows class 2. Is it safe? Yes for normal use. Avoid staring into the beam.
  • What is the real accuracy at 195 m? ±5 mm absolute. This is very good for such long range.
  • Which software do I need? TRWinProg from the brand. Fieldbus tools also work.
  • How to choose between standard and heated version? Choose heated if room drops below 0°C. Standard is fine for indoor 0-50°C.
