The SICK S30B-2011CA is an S300 Advanced safety laser scanner. It protects personnel near industrial machinery. The scanner covers a 270 degree scanning angle for wide coverage. Protective field range is 2 meters. Warning field extends to 8 meters. This device meets Type 3 (IEC 61496) and PL d (EN ISO 13849) safety standards. Each unit ships with a 12-month warranty.

Professional FAQ
- What is the difference between S30B-2011CA and S30B-3011CA? Protective field range is different. S30B-2011CA has 2m protective field. S30B-3011CA has 3m protective field. Choose based on your stopping distance.
- Can I use this scanner with a 3m protective field instead of 2m? No. The hardware limits protective field to 2m maximum. For 3m range, order S30B-3011CA model.
- What does protection class II mean for power supply? Protection class II means double insulation. No ground connection needed. Use a Class II power supply or isolate the 24V DC source properly.
- Why is resolution limited to 70mm maximum on this model? S30B-2011CA does not support 150mm resolution like some other S300 models. Maximum configurable resolution is 70mm for this version.
- How do I know if 2m protective field is enough for my machine? Calculate stopping distance plus safety margin. Add 100mm supplement automatically. If total stopping distance exceeds 2m, you need S30B-3011CA (3m).
