Description
Product Description
The SICK TIM150-3010300 is a TiM series 2D LiDAR sensor. It scans a 200 degree horizontal angle for indoor applications. The sensor detects objects from 0.05 to 10 meters away. Angular resolution is 1 degree for precise detection. Laser class 1 makes it safe for human exposure. The housing has IP65 rating for dust and water protection. Each unit ships with a 12-month warranty.

Professional FAQ
- What does HDDM+ measurement principle mean? HDDM+ means High Definition Distance Measurement plus. It gives stable measurements even with low reflectivity objects or ambient light.
- Can I use this sensor outdoors? The sensor has IP65 rating but operating temperature is only -10°C to +50°C. Outdoor use is possible in mild weather but not recommended for extreme conditions.
- Why is the range shorter at 10% remission? Dark objects (10% remission) reflect less light. The sensor only sees them at 2.8-3 meters. White objects (90% remission) work up to 10 meters.
- What is the difference between systematic and statistical error? Systematic error (±40mm) is the average offset from true distance. Statistical error (30mm) is the variation between consecutive measurements.
- Can I use this as a safety laser scanner? No. This is not a safety component. Do not use for personnel protection or machine safety. Use only for non-safety detection like presence or positioning.
Buying Guide – Selection Advice
- Need indoor monitoring? TIM150 works well in factories
- Range requirement up to 10m? This model fits
- Need 200 degree scan angle? Yes (1° resolution)
- For outdoor or longer range, consider TIM series with higher range
- Order M12 cable separately (straight or angled)
- Add mounting bracket for easy installation
- Use IO-Link master for parameter setup
- Keep spare sensor for critical production lines
- Check ambient temperature: Must stay within -10°C to +50°C
- Download SICK SOPAS software for configuration
