- Can I use single-mode fiber instead of multi-mode with Triconex 4200?
No. The 4200 RXM is designed for multi-mode fiber only. Single-mode will not work correctly. - What happens if one fiber cable breaks?
That channel loses communication. The system may trigger a fault. Use the TX and RX LEDs to find which cable failed. - Do I need three RXM modules for every remote site?
Yes. Each remote site needs one full RXM set (3 modules). The primary site also needs one RXM set. - My site is 15 km away. Will this work?
No. Maximum distance is 12 km (7.5 miles). For longer distances, use signal boosters or fiber converters. - Can I connect more than 3 remote sites to one primary RXM set?
No. The design supports exactly 3 remote sites per primary set. For more sites, add another primary RXM set.
