Can I cut and re-terminate this cable to a custom length?
We do not recommend it. Cutting voids the warranty. The connector is molded on for best seal and strain relief.
What is the difference between PVC and PUR cable jackets?
PVC is general-purpose and cost-effective. PUR has better oil and chemical resistance for harsher environments.
From experience, how do I know if the connector is fully secured?
Hand-tighten the screw collar until it stops. Then, give about a quarter turn more with a tool. You should feel the self-locking feature engage.
The cable feels stiff in the cold. Is this normal?
Yes. PVC becomes less flexible below -5°C. For cold rooms, plan fixed routing or consider a PUR-sheathed cable.
