FAQ – Professional Questions & Buying Guide
- Can I use this module in a redundant system?
Yes. The 5466-258 works in both Simplex and Redundant systems. - What happens when the LED lights up?
The LED indicates a potential fault. Check the application program for specific fault details. - Do I need to shut down the system to replace a faulty node?
No. The system allows real-time replacement. Keep network cables connected during the swap. - What address should I set on the rotary switches?
Set address to match your application setup. The replacement node must use the same address as the faulty node. - Can I use external power for inputs?
Yes. Wire inputs using internal +24 V connections or an external 24 V power source.
