Professional FAQ

• What is the difference between fail safe and fail freeze? Fail safe moves the actuator to a safe position (open or closed) on power loss. Fail freeze locks in last position. This unit has fail safe.
• Can I use this positioner in Zone 0 hazardous area? No. ATEX Ex II 2 G is for Zone 1 and Zone 2 only. For Zone 0, you need a different certification.
• What does the 4000 step resolution mean? The positioner can detect very small changes in valve position. 4000 steps means fine control with 0.025% resolution of full range.
• Does mounting orientation affect calibration? No. The positioner automatically compensates for any orientation. You can mount it upside down or sideways without re-calibration.
• How often should I replace the air filter? Check every 6 months. Replace every 12 months or sooner if air supply is dirty. Dirty air will damage internal parts.
